Te Waka Kerewai – The Māori Outcomes Delivery Unit is looking for creative and driven individuals to join our whānau as 1 of 5 Māori Programme Delivery Specialists.
 
We are looking for individuals that:
  • Are engagement focused and put the community at the forefront of every decision they make
  • Can confidently create and deliver community-based initiatives and programmes whilst also applying Māori frameworks and approaches
  • Have knowledge of tikanga me ngā kawa Māori in a range of settings 
  • E mōhio kē ana te reo Rangatira
 
Mō tō mahi | About the role
 As a member of the Māori Service Innovation Team, you will report to the Manager Māori Service Innovation and be responsible for developing and delivering programmes, initiatives, and events in response to Māori community needs within our department, Connected Communities (libraries, art centers and community centers) across Tāmaki Makau Rau.
 
Your key drivers will be:
  • Kia Ora Tāmaki Makaurau’s 10 strategic outcomes are met as they serve whānau Māori
  • Whānau Māori have access to Mātauranga Māori through local programmes
  • Māori participation is increased across all local places in Tāmaki Makaurau 
  • Local place teams and local boards engage with Te Ao Māori confidently 
  • Māori community aspirations are embedded in the development and delivery of programmes and initiatives

Te Kaunihera ō Tāmaki Makaurau offer an exciting opportunity to join Te Waka Kerewai, our Māori Outcomes Delivery unit in the Connected Communities department. The Te Waka Kerewai unit was established one year ago with a key focus on contributing to the implementation of ‘Kia Ora te Whānau’ one of 10 Strategic Outcomes of the Māori Outcomes Performance Measurement Framework - Kia Ora Tāmaki Makaurau. We are now ready to add to the strength of our team to achieve outcomes that positively impact the wellbeing of whānau.
