Cardiac Sonographer Trainee

The Clinical Physiology service at Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides a diagnostic service for patients requiring Cardiology, Respiratory and Neurological investigation. Tests performed include ECG, ambulatory blood pressure, exercise stress testing, echocardiography, cardiac monitoring (Holter and Event), lung function tests, EEG, Pacemaker and ICD follow up.
We are a small, passionate and fun team with close, supportive, working relationships with our senior medical and multi-disciplinary teams.
Applications are invited for a Trainee Cardiac Sonographer to commence in the new year of 2023. The applicant must hold an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health or science related field. The applicant must be a NZ citizen (this is due to the QUT entry requirements).
The training programme includes completion of the Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound, Queensland University of Technology. The qualification must be completed within a 3 year period.
