Ētahi kōrero mō Ringa Hora – About Ringa Hora

Ringa Hora is one of six Workforce Development Councils created under the Education and Training Act 2020 to ensure industry leadership across vocational education is embedded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We represent industries in the Services sector including Advisory Services, Aviation, Cleaning Services, Business Services, Contact Centres, Financial Services, Hospitality, Local Government, Real Estate, Retail, Security Services, State Sector, and Tourism & Travel.

Te āhua o Te Tūranga – The nature of the position

  • Turn insights into advice and affect changes towards transformational outcomes for industries, iwi and hapū, learners and their whānau that builds a resilient workforce where life-long learning is embedded. 
  • Provide both Mātauranga Māori context, tikanga and Te Reo Māori guidance, particularly in the qualification development and quality assurance space.
  • Work as part of a dynamic team to ensure the vocational education system is industry led, te tiriti partnered, regionally responsive and delivers learner excellence. 
  • Bring diverse experiences and strong cultural, Tikanga, Mātauranga Māori and Te Reo Māori competency to the team.

Position Overview

The Kaitohutohu Mātauranga Māori will support the Kāiarahi Māori working across Ringa Hora to deliver transformational changes for industry, iwi and hapū across the workforce development landscape.
